Van Rensselaer, Henry, 1851-1901

Henry I. (Hendrick) Van Rensselaer (ca. 1742-1813) was the son fo Johannes (1708-1783) and Engeltie (Livingston) Van Rensselaer who had inherited Claverack from his father Hendrick. Henry I. Van Rensselaer married Rachel Douw in 1765. In 1777 he was commissioned a Colonel of the Continental Forces. Johannes Van Rensselaer died in 1783 and in 1784 Claverack was divided between his children.
